Office of Centre for Industry Relations and Networks (CiRNeT) located at 2nd floor, Complex of Industry Relations and Community (formerly known as Faculty of Agriculture). In fact, Centre for Industry Relations and Networks (CiRNeT) is operated under The Office of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Industry and Community Relations)

What is meant by collaboration with industry?

As stated in Procedure of Industry Collaboration Management: Industry collaboration refers to the placement offer by industry for industrial training, research, career opportunities, professional services, student awards by industry, consultation, Expertise Sharing, Facilities Sharing, Income generation and any events/activities organized related on Industry-University collaboration. The role of Industry Relations Division as an intermediary to facilitate strategic collaboration between UPM and industry partners. PTJ could contact Industry Liaison Officer via 03-97694263 for further details.

Internship period for undergraduate students is vary according to the programme. Details should refer to UPM Internship time table based on programme offered.

What should I do if I want to get UPM students to do internship in my organization

Interested industry shall send an application letter to Centre of Industry and Networks Relation(CiRNeT) via: Email:muhammadfaiz@upm.edu.my Send directly to: Centre of Industry and Networks Relation Bangunan Jaringan Industri dan Masyarakat Universiti Putra Malaysia 43400 UPM Serdang Selangor Content of the letter should include company background, detail of programme needed, scope of training offered, specific criteria of student preferred such as CGPA, language competency, computer-skills or etc.

If I had received funding from the University to do internship in the country this year, can I apply for funding for industrial training abroad in the next year?

No.Students are only eligible for one-time funding for internship with the provisions of the Tabung Amanah Latihan Industri.
