Exploring Potential Collaborations: UPM and RHB Islamic Bank Discuss Strategic Partnership Opportunities

25 February 2024, Cyberjaya - A discussion on potential collaboration occurred between Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and RHB Islamic Bank Berhad. During the meeting, both parties shared information on potential cooperation, including the iTekad initiative between the Shariah Group and Wazan for Asnaf/B40 students involved in business, RHB's total solution services for UPM, students, staff, cashless payment, facilities for vendors/contractors, financial literacy programs, and RHB's approach to entrepreneurs in freshwater fish farming and agriculture. Suggestions were made for RHB to initiate early financial management explanations and SME eSolutions for participants to understand the requirements for account opening, human resources, and cashless payment systems;

assisting RHB in approaching staff, traders, and vendors to inform them about facilities provided specifically to the UPM community; opening Multi Currency Debit Card-i (MCA DC-i) accounts for ease of foreign currency exchange during travel; and signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between UPM and RHB covering all collaborations. This collaboration is expected to strengthen the parties' relationship while providing ongoing benefits.
